And He said to them, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, and with all soul, and with all your mind.'  "This is the great and foremost commandment.  "The second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fullfilled." Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, ....
 Luke 24:44-45 NASB

Mankind is fallen.  The human race is infected with a disease called sin which results in death.

God came to earth in the form of a Man named Jesus to give mankind the cure to sin and death.

What if what Jesus said is true?
John 14:1-6
1 "Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.
4 And you know the way where I am going."
5 Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?"
6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me

Who is Jesus
Matthew 3:16-17
16 After being baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and lighting on Him,
17 and behold, a voice out of the heavens said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well-pleased."

Jesus is God the Son.  God is also the Father.  God is also the Holy Spirit.  They are all three God and They are all three One God.

Why did Jesus need to die on the cross?
Mark 10:32-34
32 They were on the road going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking on ahead of them; and they were amazed, and those who followed were fearful.  And again He took the twelve aside and began to tell them what was going to happen to Him
33 saying,"Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be delivered to the chief priests and the scribes; and they will condemn Him to death and will hand Him over to the Gentiles.
34 They will mock Him and spit on Him, and scourge Him and kill Him, and three days later He will rise again."

Jesus is the Lamb of God.  He is the sacrifice for the sins of the world.
This is God's plan for the redemption of all mankind.
God tells man about this system using the Tabernacle from the nation of Israel.

Why did Jesus rise from the dead?
John 4:23-26
23 But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for such people the Father seeks to be His worshipers.
24  God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."
25 The woman said to Him, "I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ); when that One comes, He will declare all things to us."
26  Jesus said to her, "I who speak to you am He."

Jesus defeated death and God raised Him from death as the first fruits of a new spiritual world called the Kingdom.
Jesus preached for man to repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.  You can be part of this Kingdom.

Why did Jesus need to be born, need to die and then need to rise from the dead?
Luke 1:26-37
26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth,
27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And coming in, he said to her, "Greetings, favored one! The Lord is with you."
29 But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was.
30 The angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God
31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus
32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David;
33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end."
34 Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?"
35 The angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.
36 And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month.
37 For nothing will be impossible with God."

God made all things good.  Man disobeyed God.  Man brought death into God's good world.
Jesus is God's solution to the problem man created.
Jesus is a man, but He is also God.  Jesus is God-Man.
Jesus entered mankind not by the seed of man, but by a virgin thus He is not born with our disease called sin.

What is salvation?
John 8:12
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."
Acts 26:15-18
15 And I said, 'Who are You, Lord?' And the Lord said, 'I am Jesus whom you are persecuting.
16 But get up and stand on your feet; for this purpose I have appeared to you, to appoint you a minister and a witness not only to the things which you have seen, but also to the things in which I will appear to you;
17 rescuing you from the Jewish people and from the Gentiles, to whom I am sending you,
18 to open their eyes so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the dominion of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who have been sanctified by faith in Me.'

Salvation is believing in Jesus.
Salvation is believing that Jesus is the Lamb of God.
Salvation is believing that Jesus is the Messiah (Christ) sent from the Father to redeem those who answer the call of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus said that He is the way, and the truth and and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Him.  John 14:6.
Do you believe?  This life is short.  Eternity is a very, very, very long time.
Do you trust your eternal life to Jesus?  Yes, then walk.  No, what then?

The account from Acts 26 above is a statement from Paul (also known as Saul) about his conversion from the religious law to the grace of God.  Notice what Jesus said about the people of this world.  Jesus says that they are living in darkness and under the domain of the devil.  Jesus says that mankind can be sanctified by faith in Him.  If you are not sanctified by Jesus, then you will be held guilty of sin and subject to the judgment of God.  Jesus received the entire judgment of God for you, and all mankind from Adam on, on the cross.  That is the whole point of His death and resurrection.  Jesus defeats death because death is the penalty of man's original sin.  God does not want any person to be judged which is why Jesus came to give life.  Are you sanctified by faith in Jesus?  If not, go to Him now.

What is eternity?

'Man' (male and female) are made in the image of the Living God.  God is eternal.
The day you were born was the start of your eternal existence which is beyond this life of the flesh.
When a 'Man' dies, his spirit does not stop existing.  That is why suicide is such a terrible lie.
Upon death, the flesh of 'Man' stops, but the spirit of 'Man' lives on because 'Man' is made in God's image.

The question is where will 'Man' spend eternity?  Call upon Jesus and spend eternity in heaven.
The first step in getting well, is to recognize that you are sick.  'Man' must recognize that he is a sinner in need of a Savior.
Jesus is Immanuel which means God with man.  Jesus is the Lamb of God sent to save the world.
Jesus is the Messiah.  Messiah is Hebrew and when translated into Greek is Christ.  He is also called the Anointed One.

God is in control.

You must understand that God is in control.  Take a look at the world around us and look at these three life observations

1.  Of all the females of all species that exist on our planet, why does the female 'Man' experience such pain during child birth
2.  Why does the rainbow exist when it rains?
3.  Why does the nation of Israel exist?

These three things are present in our world, but they do not have a logical explanation as to why they exist.  As a Christian, I look to Genesis 3:16 to explain child birth pains.  I have seen animals give birth and it looks uncomfortable, but it does not compare to when a woman gives birth.

Genesis 3:16
To the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth, In pain you will bring forth children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you."

For the rainbow, I look to Genesis 9:12-13.  Scientists can not explain why.  They can duplicate the light refraction using a prism, but why does a rainbow exist?

Genesis 9:12-13
12 God said, "This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations;
13 I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.

Understanding God's love for the nation of Israel is difficult.  No other nation in all history has been taken into slavery multiple times and survived as a nation.  When you consider the spiritual battle associated with our world, no other nation has been so hated in all history as this tiny group of people called by the spiritual name 'Israel' given to man named Jacob.

Exodus 6:6-8
6 Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, 'I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage.  I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments.
7 Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.
8 I will bring you to the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I will give it to you for a possession; I am the Lord.'"

God is in control.  God opened the barren womb of an old woman when Abraham's wife Sarah gave birth to Isaac.  God brought a son from the barren womb of a young woman when Isaac's wife gave birth to Jacob and Esau.  God brought forth a nation when God changed Jacob's name to Israel.  God redeemed a nation when He brought Israel out of slavery from Egypt. God brought forth a Savior when He overshadowed a Jewish virgin girl named Mary and God Himself entered into His own creation.  His name is Immanuel which translated means 'God with man'.  Immanuel is Jesus.

God brought forth a seed of woman as fulfillment of His promise to Adam, a seed as a blessing to all nations promised to Abraham, the Prophet promised to Moses, and the King promised to David when Jesus was born to establish His Kingdom.  Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  The Kingdom Jesus has established is much larger than the physical nation of Israel.  God used Israel as the foundation stone to bring about His Kingdom.  The Kingdom of God are those who believe in Jesus as the Anointed One from God and accept Him as their Messiah (Christ).

Are you ready?

John 6:40
For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day."

John 5:39-42
39 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;
40 and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.
41 I do not receive glory from men;
42 but I know you, that you do not have the love of God in yourselves.
