And He said to them, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, and with all soul, and with all your mind.'  "This is the great and foremost commandment.  "The second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fullfilled." Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, ....
 Luke 24:44-45 NASB

Do you share the bloodline of Israel?  My wife's grandfather came from Russia as a Jewish immigrant.  My boys share the bloodline of Israel.  I've always told them that they have a one-in-twelve chance of being a direct blood relative to Jesus.  Now I understand that based upon statistical analysis of ancestry that the one-in-twelve number is not accurate, but it serves the point of drawing a connection between them and the Messiah.

So the question is; does a person with the bloodline to Israel get a free pass into heaven?  No.  No, an Israelite who rejects Jesus as the Messiah shares the same fate as a Gentile who rejects Jesus.  Both Jew and Gentile come to God the same way; the Lamb of God.

You must understand why God created the nation of Israel.  This was a people God brought from the barren womb of Sarah, Abraham's wife.  This was a people God brought from the barren womb of Rebecca, Isaac's wife.  The tribes of Judah and Levi came from the barren womb of Leah, Jacob's wife.  This was a people isolated in slavery and certain destruction, but God brought them out for one purpose.  God created the Nation of Israel as His method of entering into humanity in the form of Jesus as the Messiah.  God loves this nation not because they are special, but because His hand brought them into existence.  God's love for Israel is what makes them special.

Think about the story from John chapter fourteen.   A Jewish man named Jesus is talking to His Jewish disciples about the pathway to God.  No one comes to the Father but through Jesus.  If a Jewish man rejects Jesus the Messiah, he rejects God's pathway.

John 14:1-11 (6) NASB
1 "Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me.
2 In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you.
3 If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also
4 And you know the way where I am going."
5 Thomas said to Him, "Lord, we do not know where You are going, how do we know the way?"

6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.

7 If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; from now on you know Him, and have seen Him."
8 Philip said to Him, "Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us."
9 Jesus said to him, "Have I been so long with you, and yet you have not come to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how can you say, 'Show us the Father'?
10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father is in MeThe words that I say to you I do not speak on My own initiative, but the Father abiding in Me does His works.
11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father is in Me; otherwise believe because of the works themselves.

So why would a Jewish person reject Jesus as the Messiah?  The Jewish people are caught in self-righteousness just like so many Gentiles.  God is hiding Himself from them unless they come to Him in the way He prescribes.  Jesus is the stone, the rock, the snare and the trap described in Isaiah 8 below.  The miracles that Jesus performed showed the power of God in Him.  These miracles are the works that Jesus mentions in John 14 and those redeemed by His name are the signs and wonders described by the prophet Isaiah in chapter 8 below.  Christians (both Jew and Gentile) are signs and wonders from the Lord of hosts because of the name of Jesus.

Isaiah 8:11-18 (17) NASB
11 For thus the Lord spoke to me with mighty power and instructed me not to walk in the way of this people, saying,
12 "You are not to say, 'It is a conspiracy!'  In regard to all that this people call a conspiracy, And you are not to fear what they fear or be in dread of it.
13 "It is the Lord of hosts whom you should regard as holy
And He shall be your fear
And He shall be your dread.
14 "Then He shall become a sanctuary;
But to both the houses of Israel,
a stone to strike and a rock to stumble over,
And a snare and a trap for the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
15 "Many will stumble over them, Then they will fall and be broken; They will even be snared and caught."
16 Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

17 And I will wait for the Lord who is hiding His face from the house of Jacob; I will even look eagerly for Him.

18 Behold, I and the children whom the Lord has given me are for signs and wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, who dwells on Mount Zion

Reject Jesus and you have chosen your own fate for eternity.  Accept Jesus as your personal Savior (Messiah, Christ, Anointed One) and be saved for eternity.  Here is a list of those who accepted the name Jesus although they were born prior to the birth of Jesus:  Abraham, Isaac, Jacob (Israel), Moses, Joshua, David, Elijah, Elisha, Isaiah, Daniel, Jeremiah, Ezra, Noah, Adam, Enoch, etc.  Here is a list of names of those who accepted the name Jesus after God came into humanity: Stephen, Paul, Peter, James, John, Matthew, Mark, Luke, Nicodemus, etc. and (YOUR NAME HERE).

Are you Jewish?  Are you a Jewish religious leader?  Below is Jesus in a conversation with a Jewish religious leader of his day.  This conversation in John 3 is Jesus talking to Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jewish Pharisees.  Jesus describes that God wants to save mankind, not send man to hell.  As a Gentile, please allow me to sell you this idea.  Accepting Jesus is a once in a lifetime offer, so do not miss out.  Go to heaven by the grace of God as provided by Jesus OR go to hell by rejecting Jesus for all eternity because of your own self-righteousness.

John 3:17-21 NASB
17 For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
18 He who believes in Him is not judged; he who does not believe has been judged already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
19 This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.
20 For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light for fear that his deeds will be exposed.
21 But he who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds may be manifested as having been wrought in God."
