And He said to them, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your
heart, and with all soul, and with all your mind.'  "This is the great and foremost commandment.  "The second is like it, 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.' On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets."

Time frames are critical.  For a Muslim believer today to say that the Hebrew manuscripts and Christian Bible have been altered, tells me that this Muslim does not consider the significance of the Dead Sea Scrolls.  This statement about an altered bible is made almost every time I have a discussion with a Muslim.

The manuscripts found in those caves in 1946 have documents written around 300 AD.  Some documents found have been dated as far back as 400 BC. The Quran was recorded in 622 AD.  So, the earliest copies of Hebrew manuscripts found are over 300 years older than the Quran.  Think about that.  After translating the Dead Sea Scrolls, they have proven the accuracy of the Christian Bible.  So why is the false statement about an altered bible still being promoted?

Look into this for yourself.  Your eternal existence depends upon Who you say that Jesus is.
John the Baptist testified that Jesus is the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world as recorded in John 1:29 and John 1:36.
Jesus said that He is God which is why the Jews wanted to kill Him as recorded in John 8:53-59, John 10:24-33 and John 10:37-39.
Jesus is identified as the Son of God in Luke 3:21-22, Luke 22:66-71, and John 1:32-34.
In John 1:1-5, Jesus is identified as the Word and the source of creation.
Who is Jesus?  Who is this virgin born prophet?

If you will not believe the Christian Bible and the Dead Sea Scrolls, just take a hard close look at the Quran;

The Quran and Jesus

Quran 3.42-47 And (remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Allah has chosen you and purified you- Chosen you above the women of all nations.
3.43 "O Maryam (Mary)!  Pray to your Lord sincerely: And prostate yourself, and bow down (in prayer) with those who bow down."
3.44 This is part of the news about the things unseen, which We reveal to you (O Prophet!) by revelation: You were not with them when they cast lots with arrows, (and when they decided), about which of them should take care of Maryam (Mary): Nor were you with them when they disagreed (about it).
3.45 (Remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah give you good news of a Word from Him:  Son of Maryam (Mary), his name will be Messiah, Isa (Christ, Jesus), held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest (to Allah);
3.46 "He shall speak to the people in childhood and in manhood, and he shall be one of the righteous."
3.47 She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have a son when no man has touched me?"  He said:"Even so: Allah creates what he wills: When He has decreed a Plan, He only says to it,
3.48 "And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Torah (the Torah) and the Bible (the Gospel,
3.49 "And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with the message): 'I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make you out of clay, (as it were) the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and by Allah's leave: It becomes a bird; And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I wake up the dead, by Allah's leave: And I declare to you what you eat, and what you store in your houses.  Surely, in there is a Sign for you, if you only believe:
3.50 "'And (I have come to you), confirming Torah which was before me.  And to make lawful to you part of what was (before) forbidden to you; And I have come to you with proof from the Lord, so fear Allah, and obey me.

What does the Bible say about the same story:

Luke 1:26-38
26 Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a city in Galilee called Nazareth,
27 to a virgin engaged to a man whose name was Joseph, of the descendants of David
and the virgin's name was Mary.
28 And coming in, he said to her, "Greetings, favored one!  The Lord is with you."
29 But she was very perplexed at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this was.
30 The angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God.
31 And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus
32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High;
and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David
33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and His kingdom will have no end."
34 Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?"
35 The angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God
36 And behold, even your relative Elizabeth has also conceived a son in her old age; and she who was called barren is now in her sixth month.
37 For nothing will be impossible with God."
38 And Mary said, "Behold, the bondslave of the Lord; may it be done to me according to your word." And the angel departed from her.

People who are Christian and people who are Muslim get all worked up over religious differences.  Please, put religion aside for the moment and focus on the facts associated with Man.  God created Man in His likeness.

Genesis 5:1-2
1 This is the book of the generations of Adam.  In the day when God created man, He made him in the likeness of God
2 He created them male and female, and He blessed them and named them Man in the day when they were created.

Let us consider what we hold in common.  We both hold that Jesus was virgin born.

First, how does a virgin have a child?  Seed for children comes from the male.  Females do not produce seed.  We see in Luke 1:35 that the Holy Spirit would overshadow the virgin Mary.  Please be respectful and do not reduce this into a sexual act.  Mary was a virgin when Jesus was born. The Creator came to His creation and became part of what His hand had made to redeem what He calls as His own people.

As a Christian, we believe Jesus is God as the Father is God as the Holy Spirit is God.  All three are God in One.  All three are unique onto themselves for specific purposes at different times.  Jesus and the Holy Spirit go by various names based upon what they are doing and when they are on the earth.  Jesus is known as the Commander of the Lord's host in the book of Joshua, the Angel of the Lord in the Torah, the Word in the Gospels and Isaiah the prophet calls Him Immanuel which means 'El is with us' or 'God is with man'.  El is a Hebrew reference to God.  Jesus is also known as the King of Kings, Prince of Peace and Lord of Lords.  The Holy Spirit is known as Wisdom, Truth and the Helper.  Each part of God interacts with mankind in different ways.

God the Father is holy and a man would die if he looked upon Him.  So, how does a sinful man interact with a holy God?  God Himself has the answer.  The Son of God in the form of the Angel of the Lord (Jesus prior to being born in the flesh) interacts with Abraham, Isaac and Jacob establishing His plan of redemption for all mankind.  The Holy Spirit moves in the hearts of men (Noah, Moses, Abraham, David, etc.) to prompt them in certain actions for His purposes and to draw them close to Himself.  God is in control

Second, why would a virgin have a child?
Third, when would this event occur?
Forth, where would this virgin born child be born?

Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her seed
He shall bruise you on the head, And you shall bruise him on the heel.”

Isaiah 7:13-14
13 Then he said, "Listen now, O house of David! Is it too slight a thing for you to try the patience of men, that you will try the patience of my God as well?
14 Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, a virgin will be with child and bear a son, and she will call His name Immanuel.

This is why.  Adam and Eve (Man) disobeyed God and allowed sin to enter mankind.  As soon as sin and death entered this world, God referenced His plan of redemption.  As mentioned earlier, seed does not come from a female.  That reference to 'her seed' is talking about the virgin birth as seen above in Luke 1:30-35.  Remember that Immanuel means 'God is with man'

When would the virgin birth occur?  God tells us in the writings by the prophet Daniel.  The Bible is based upon facts.  The stories told are  associated with real places, real people and historical events.  God foretells to man what will happen in the future so that man will know that this was from God Himself.  God gave King Nebuchadnezzar a dream and then gave Daniel the explanation of the dream.  King Nebuchadnezzar never lived long enough to see these events unfold, but this dream was given for our observation because we can look over history and see just how God said things would unfold and they did!  Daniel described kingdoms of man in the order they would rule and it is very clear looking back that the Romans would be ruling the earth when the Messiah would come into His creation to draw all men to Himself

Daniel 2:44-45
44 In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which will never be destroyed, and that kingdom will not be left for another people; it will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, but it will itself endure forever.
45 Inasmuch as you saw that a stone was cut out of the mountain without hands and that it crushed the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold, the great God has made known to the king what will take place in the future; so the dream is true and its interpretation is trustworthy."

Where would this virgin birth take place?

Michah 5:2-4 (some spell the prophet's name as Micah)
2 "But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel.  His goings forth are from long ago, From the days of eternity."
3 Therefore He will give them up until the time When she who is in labor has borne a child.
Then the remainder of His brethren Will return to the sons of Israel.
4 And He will arise and shepherd His flock In the strength of the Lord, In the majesty of the name of the Lord His God.  And they will remain, Because at that time He will be great To the ends of the earth.

Matthew 2:1-5
1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, magi from the east arrived in Jerusalem, saying,
2 "Where is He who has been born King of the Jews?  For we saw His star in the east and have come to worship Him."
3 When Herod the king heard this, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 Gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born
5 They said to him, "In Bethlehem of Judea; for this is what has been written by the prophet:

The prophet Michah (or Micah) wrote around 704 B.C.  The prophet Daniel wrote around 604 B.C.  The prophet Isaiah wrote around 732 B.C.  All the events from these three prophets came true as God said.  These are just three predictions from hundreds given in scripture about Jesus.

Think in terms of time frame.  When did Muhammad write the Quran?  When was the Bible finished?  Muhammad wrote the Quran between 609 and 632 A.D. The sixty-six books of the Bible were written by forty different authors over a period of a around thousand five hundred years starting with Genesis written by Moses around 1445 B.C. and ending with the Revelation given to the Apostle John in 70 A.D. The Christian Bible had been finished for 539 years before Muhammad ever recorded his first vision.  Think about that.  Your eternal existence beyond this physical world depends upon who you say Jesus is.

The writers of the New Testament walked this earth with Jesus during His life and were eye witnesses to His many miracles.  They also walked, talked and were taught by Jesus after He was risen from the dead.  These chosen apostles wrote that Jesus is God.  They testified that Jesus is the Son of God and the Son of Man all wrapped up inside one person.  The apostles hold that Jesus is God in the flesh who gave Himself as a sacrifice for the sin of Man to create an eternal Kingdom beyond this world for His people.

My Muslim friend, please notice that the Quran talks a lot about the virgin birth of Jesus.  My question to a follower of Muhammed and the Quran is who is Jesus' Father?  We both agree that Jesus is virgin born.  As a Muslim, you must agree that Jesus is not born from the seed of man and since the Quran says that Jesus is a prophet we know that his Father can not be a demon.  You must answer this question; who is Jesus' Father?  Your eternal existence depends upon your answer.

If Jesus' father is God, then you need to accept Jesus as your Savior, your Anointed One, your Messiah, your Christ, your Lamb of God, and enter into the Kingdom prepared for His children.  I have heard Muslim people say that the writings of the Bible have been altered.  Do your research and you will find that the Bible is the most critically acclaimed historical record known to mankind.  The 'alterations' can be reduced to the simple fact of human errors in making copies.  The copies are just copies, not the inspired original writings by God's prophets.  I have visited with Muslims and heard them say that Ismael was offered by Abraham and that is was not Isaac.  The events described in Genesis were written by Moses two thousand years before Muhammad.  Why would anyone try and rewrite history?  God will hold you accountable.  Seek the truth.  Seek God.  He will let you find Him if you seek Him with a whole heart and a willing mind.

John 14:6
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; noone comes to the Father, but through Me.

John 18:35-38
35 Pilate answered, "I am not a Jew, am I? Your own nation and the chief priests delivered You to me; what have You done?"
36 Jesus answered, "My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm."
37 Therefore Pilate said to Him, "So You are a king?" Jesus answered, "You say correctly that I am a king.  For this I have been born, and for this I have come into the world, to testify to the truth.  Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice."
38 Pilate said to Him, "What is truth?"

Genesis 12:1-3 (3)
1 Now the Lord said to Abram, "Go forth from your country, And from your relatives And from your father's house, To the land which I will show you
2 And I will make you a great nation, And I will bless you, And make your name great; And so you shall be a blessing
3 And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curseAnd in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."

God has His plan and now He is revealing it to mankind using a man named Abram.  Moses wrote Genesis, but Moses was not present when these events happened.  These accounts are given by the Angel of the Lord (Jesus) to Moses at the tent of meeting.  This is God telling Moses what to write down so that you and I can know His plan for humanity.  As soon as sin entered into humanity, God established His plan in Genesis 3:15 when He said the seed of woman would bruise (crush) the serpent's head.  This is a prophecy of the virgin birth of the Anointed One (Jesus) who would come to redeem man back to God.

Genesis 22:7-8
7 Isaac spoke to Abraham his father and said, "My father!" And he said, "Here I am, my son." And he said, "Behold, the fire and the wood, but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?"
8 Abraham said, "God will provide for Himself the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." So the two of them walked on together.

One thing I like to do when two groups disagree is back away from the areas of disagreement and see what we can agree upon.  The Quran does not say that Abraham offered Ishmael.  The Torah does say that God offered Isaac.  The Quran tells a Muslim to read the Torah.  Why would a Muslim tell another Muslim that Ishmael was offered by Abraham instead of Isaac?  The Torah also says that God would bless Ishmael in Genesis 17:20. God loves Ishmael and God loves Isaac.  Think about this, God named both Ishmael and Isaac.

Genesis 17:18-22
18 And Abraham said to God, "Oh that Ishmael might live before You!"
19 But God said, "No, but Sarah your wife will bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him.
20 As for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I will bless him, and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation
21 But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this season next year."
22 When He finished talking with him, God went up from Abraham.

If a Muslim does not accept what the Christians say about Jesus and Christians do not accept what the Quran says about Jesus, we need to back away and find common ground.  First, take a look at the world around us and let me show you three life observations

Of all the females in all the world of all species that exist on earth, why does the female human have such pain during child birth?  Why does the rainbow exist when it rains?  Why does the nation of Israel exist?  These three things are present in our world, but they do not have a logical explanation as to why they exist.

As a Christian, I look to Genesis 3:16 to explain child birth pains.  I have seen animals give birth and it looks uncomfortable, but it does not compare to when a woman gives birth.

Genesis 3:16 To the woman He said, "I will greatly multiply Your pain in childbirth, In pain you will bring forth children; Yet your desire will be for your husband, And he will rule over you."

For the rainbow, I look to Genesis 9:12-13.  Scientists can not explain why.  They can duplicate the light refraction using a prism, but why does a rainbow exist?

Genesis 9:12-13 God said, "This is the sign of the covenant which I am making between Me and you and every living creature that is with you, for all successive generations; I set My bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.

Understanding God's love for the nation of Israel is difficult.  No other nation in all history has been taken into slavery multiple times and survived as a nation.  When you consider the spiritual battle associated with our world, no other nation has been so hated in all history as this tiny group of people called by the spiritual name 'Israel' given to man named Jacob.  God opened the barren womb of an old woman when Abraham's wife Sarah gave birth to Isaac.  God brought a son from the barren womb of a young woman when Isaac's wife gave birth to Jacob and Esau.  God brought forth a nation when God changed Jacob's name to Israel.  God redeemed a nation when He brought Israel out of slavery from Egypt. God brought forth a Savior when He overshadowed a Jewish virgin girl named Mary and God entered into His creation.  His name is Immanuel which translated means 'God with man'.  Immanuel is Jesus.

God brought forth a seed of woman as fulfillment of His promise to Adam, a seed as a blessing to all nations promised to Abraham, the Prophet promised to Moses, and the King promised to David when Jesus was born to establish His Kingdom.  Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  The Kingdom He has established is much larger than the physical nation of Israel.  God used Israel as the foundation stone to bring about His Kingdom.  The Kingdom of God are those who believe in Jesus as the Anointed One from God and accept Him as their Messiah (Christ).

Quran 3.45 (Remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allah give you good news of a Word from Him:  Son of Maryam (Mary), his name will be Messiah, Isa (Christ, Jesus), held in honor in this world and the Hereafter and of (the company of) those nearest (to Allah);

The Quran mentions that the name of Jesus would be held in honor in this world and the Hereafter.  The Bible speaks of the name of Jesus in the Hereafter.

Revelation 19:11-16 And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, were following Him on white horses. From His mouth comes a sharp sword, so that with it He may strike down the nations, and He will rule them with a rod of iron; and He treads the wine press of the fierce wrath of God, the Almighty. And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, "KING OF KINGS, AND Lord OF LORDS."

The Quran says Jesus will know the Bible.  This is odd because Muhammad came 600 years after Jesus ascended into heaven so the Quran was written after the Bible was complete and after Jesus was born to a virgin, lived a perfect life, died on the cross and raised from the dead.  Jesus lived what is written in the Bible, so why teach Him?  Jesus is the Word made flesh.

Quran 3.48 "And Allah will teach him the Book and Wisdom, the Torah (the Torah) and the Bible (the Gospel),

Luke 24:44-45 Now He said to them, "These are My words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things which are written about Me in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms must be fullfilled." Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures, ....

Quran 3.49 "And (appoint him) a messenger to the Children of Israel, (with the message): 'I have come to you with a Sign from your Lord, in that I make you out of clay, (as it were) the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and by Allah's leave: It becomes a bird; And I heal those born blind, and the lepers, and I wake up the dead, by Allah's leave: And I declare to you what you eat, and what you store in your houses.  Surely, in there is a Sign for you, if you only believe:

The Quran has this bird story which I really do not understand.  You could say that it was trying to describe what happened when the Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus upon His baptism.

Luke 3:21-23 Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, "You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased ." When He began His ministry, Jesus Himself was about thirty years of age, ...

Luke 5:12-13 While He was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man covered with leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and implored Him, saying, "Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean." And He stretched out His hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be cleansed." And immediately the leprosy left him.

The Quran mentions in 3.49 how Jesus would heal the blind, the lepers and raise the dead.

Luke 17:11-19 While He was on the way to Jerusalem, He was passing between Samaria and Galilee. As He entered a village, ten leprous men who stood at a distance met Him; and they raised their voices, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!" When He saw them, He said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they were going, they were cleansed. Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine-where are they? Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?" And He said to him, "Stand up and go; your faith has made you well."

Luke 18:35-43 As Jesus was approaching Jericho, a blind man was sitting by the road begging. Now hearing a crowd going by, he began to inquire what this was. They told him that Jesus of Nazareth was passing by. And he called out, saying, "Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!" Those who led the way were sternly telling him to be quiet; but he kept crying out all the more, "Son of David, have mercy on me!" And Jesus stopped and commanded that he be brought to Him; and when he came near, He questioned him, "What do you want Me to do for you?" And he said, "Lord, I want to regain my sight!" And Jesus said to him, "Receive your sight; your faith has made you well." Immediately he regained his sight and began following Him, glorifying God; and when all the people saw it, they gave praise to God.

Matthew 9:27-31 As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!" When He entered the house, the blind men came up to Him, and Jesus said to them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?" They said to Him, "Yes, Lord." Then He touched their eyes, saying, "It shall be done to you according to your faith." And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them: "See that no one knows about this!" But they went out and spread the news about Him throughout all that land.

Luke 7:11-17 Soon afterwards He went to a city called Nain; and His disciples were going along with Him, accompanied by a large crowd. Now as He approached the gate of the city, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow; and a sizeable crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, He felt compassion for her, and said to her, "Do not weep." And He came up and touched the coffin; and the bearers came to a halt. And He said, "Young man, I say to you, arise!" The dead man sat up and began to speak. And Jesus gave him back to his mother. Fear gripped them all, and they began glorifying God, saying, "A great prophet has arisen among us!" and, "God has visited His people!" This report concerning Him went out all over Judea and in all the surrounding district.

The Quran has another story about the birth of Jesus which does not correspond to the account in 3.42-47 referenced above.  Notice in 19.17 and 19.21 to the plural reference to Allah when it says We, Our and Us.

Quran 19.16-22 In the Book (Quran), tell (the story of) Maryam (Mary), when she went away from her family (for Prayer) to a place in the East (her chamber).
19.17 She placed a screen (to hide herself) from them; Then We sent to her Our Angel, and he appeared before her in the form of a man of respect in every way.
19.18 She said: "Verily, I ask for shelter from you with (Allah) Most Gracious: (Do not come near me) if you guard (yourself) against evil."
19.20 She said: "How shall I have a son, when no man has touched me, and I am not immodest (or indecent)?"
19.21 He said: "(It will be so) so: Your Lord says: 'that is easy for Me: And (We wish) to appoint him as a Sign to men and a mercy from Us': It is a matter (already) ordered."
19.22 So she started to carry him (baby Jesus in her womb), and she went (to rest) with him to a far place.
19.23 And the pains of childbirth took her to the trunk of a palm-tree: She cried (in her pain): "Oh! If I had died before this! If I was a thing forgotten and not (even) seen!"
19.24 Then (a voice) cried to her from under (the tree): "Do not feel sad! Because your Lord has made (for you) a stream underneath you;
19.25 "And shake towards yourself the trunk of the palm-tree: It will drop fresh ripe dates (fruits) upon you.
19.26 "So eat and drink and cool (wet your) eye. And if you see any man, say, "I have promised solemnly to (Allah) the Most Gracious, and this day, I will not enter into any talk with any human being.' "
19.27 At the end she brought the (baby) to her people, carrying him (baby Jesus in her arms). They said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Truly an amazing thing have you brought!

The Quran references the child birth pains discussed above from Genesis 3.  Think about who Jesus is and why He was virgin born.  Your eternal existence depends upon who you say Jesus is.  How does a sinful man approach a Holy God?  I approach my Holy God as a sinful man by the blood of the Son of God (Jesus) and the washing of the Holy Spirit of God.  It is not about me, but it is all about Jesus.

Man (male and female) are made in the image of the Living God.  God is eternal.
The day you were born was the start of your eternal existence which is beyond this life of the flesh.
When a Man dies, his spirit does not stop existing.  That is why suicide is such a terrible lie.
Upon death, the flesh of Man stops, but the spirit of Man lives on because Man is made in God's image.

The question is where will Man spend eternity?  Call upon Jesus and spend eternity in heaven.
The first step in getting well, is to recognize that you are sick.  Man must recognize that he is a sinner in need of a Savior.
Jesus is Immanuel which means God with man.  Jesus is the Lamb of God sent to save the world.
Jesus is the Messiah.  Messiah is Hebrew when translated into Greek is Christ.  He is also called the Anointed One.

Look at the basic timeline below.  Moses recorded the Torah.  The Angel of the Lord met with Moses and told him what to write.  Christians consider The Angel of the Lord to be Jesus prior to Him being born in the flesh to the virgin Mary.  God told Moses what to record regarding Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac and the nation of Israel.  The books of history in Samuel, Kings, Chronicles, Exra, Nehemiah and others all support the events in the Torah.  The question is who are you going to believe if the Qur'an and the Torah do not agree?

Again, I raise the point about Isaac and Ishmael.  I have heard leaders in the Muslim faith talk about how Abraham offered Ishmael.  They said that the Christians and the Jews got it wrong when they said it was Isaac.  The Qur'an does not say anything about Ishmael being offered, but the Bible and the Torah are very clear that is was Isaac.

So, why would religious leaders want to re-write established history from over four thousand years ago?  Are they trying to justify themselves?

The history recorded in the Bible and in the Torah are unquestionably accurate.  Archaeological discoveries have proven the existance of Kings, cities and events recorded in the scriptures.

Ishmael witnessed a miracle when he saw the birth of a child (Isaac) from a woman (Sarah) who was over 90 years old.  Again, why would religious leaders try to re-write history?  You will give an account for yourself to the Living God about what you believe after you die.

Genesis 17:15-21
15 Then God said to Abraham, "As for Sarai your wife, you shall not call her name Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name
16 I will bless her, and indeed I will give you a son by her. Then I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her."
17 Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, "Will a child be born to a man one hundred years old?  And will Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?"
18 And Abraham said to God, "Oh that Ishmael might live before You!"
19 But God said, "No, but Sarah your wife will bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac; and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant for his descendants after him
20 As for Ishmael, I have heard you; behold, I will bless him, and will make him fruitful and will multiply him exceedingly. He shall become the father of twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation
21 But My covenant I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this season next year."
